Without Faith, There Is No Refuge
Faith · Threshold
Faith is presented as shelter, then revealed as enclosure. A vertical current descends through the image while fragments flash laterally, turning refuge into a structure that cannot be escaped.
Installation No. 3
Installation Statement
Four perceptual spaces built from Part I of Agustina Bazterrica’s The Unworthy.
THE UNWORTHY pt.1 begins inside an institution where faith is no longer private. It has become spatial, disciplinary, and physical: a system written into walls, rituals, names, and bodies.
This is not a soundtrack that reproduces the novel. It extracts the pressure beneath its language: obedience, punishment, desire, complicity, and the unstable memory of a self that the institution has tried to erase.
Quiet Tech Noir does not mean the absence of violence. It is violence held below the threshold of spectacle, where silence itself becomes a mechanism of control.
Rooms
Each track isolates a force operating inside the institution. Together, they form the first passage through faith, ordeal, identity, and collective fear.
Faith · Threshold
Faith is presented as shelter, then revealed as enclosure. A vertical current descends through the image while fragments flash laterally, turning refuge into a structure that cannot be escaped.
Ordeal · Incandescence
A body becomes a warning, an offering, and a story controlled by others. Repeated overlays retain only unstable traces, as if memory itself were being scorched and rewritten.
Identity · Dissolution
A face appears only long enough to lose its authority. The portrait is stretched, displaced, and dissolved until identity becomes an institutional afterimage rather than proof of a self.
Collective · Contagion
Fear moves through the group faster than knowledge. Vertical and horizontal time collide; event injection and history feedback make the image behave like a memory that cannot remain singular.
Two Rooms from the Installation
These moving images do not illustrate the novel. Historical photographs are treated as material bodies: divided, shifted, delayed, and subjected to the pressure of the present sound.
A body becomes warning, offering, and testimony. Repeated layers preserve only unstable traces, as if memory itself were being burned away and written again.
A face appears only long enough to lose its authority. Its contours stretch, shift, and dissolve until the portrait survives as an institutional afterimage.
The Installation Continues
The complete Production Note, four track reviews, audiovisual works, advance listening, MP3 and WAV downloads continue beyond this public threshold.

Agustina Bazterrica’s novel and historical institutional photographs enter the work as independent, resistant forms of memory.
Part I is approached as an architecture of belief and coercion. The music does not reproduce the narrative; it reconstructs the pressure the institution places upon language, memory, and the body.
Quiet Tech Noir locates violence below spectacle. Silence, repetition, withheld information, and disciplined stillness become active forces rather than empty space.
The photograph is treated as a body. Images are divided, displaced, delayed, and recomposed by pressure, frequency, duration, and silence. Sound does not decorate the image; it changes the conditions under which the image can continue to exist.
